Biblical
Authority (2
Timothy 3:16-17)
“All Scripture is
given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that
the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every
good work.”
·
The Bible is the only standard for our belief and
behavior.
Spiritual
Intimacy (2
Peter
3:18)
“Grow in the
grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him
be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”
·
Knowing Christ intimately is the priority around
which everything in our life is built.
Authentic
Community (1
Corinthians 12:12-14)
“For as the
body is one and has many members, but all the members of that
one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by
one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or
Greeks, whether slaves or free--and have all been made to drink
into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but
many.”
·
As Christians, we were not designed to walk
through life by ourselves. Life is best lived in an
environment of meaningful, authentic friendships.
Personal
Ministry (Ephesians
2:8-10)
“For by grace
you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God, [9] not of works, lest anyone should
boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for
good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in
them.”
·
Each believer has been placed by God in a local
Church and given a specific role to fulfill in that assembly.
Global
Responsibility (Matthew
28:18-20)
“And Jesus came
and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me
in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all
the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things
that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to
the end of the age." Amen.
·
We must teach our people to be and reproduce
spiritually mature zealots for Christ.
